ABOUT US

Leon County VFW Post 3308 is 501C(19) nonprofit veterans organization with 339 post members and 119 Auxiliary members. As Tallahassee's only VFW which was established in 1944, our post has a longstanding record of service to local veterans and to our community. With zero employees, our dedicated members volunteer more than 100 hours a week to operate the post and the canteen. Our services include educating veterans on how to obtain their well earned benefits, assisting with VA claims, offering grant opportunities through VFW Unmet Needs for military families facing financial hardship, offering scholarship opportunities to local students, teaching patriotism in our community and local schools, recognizing teachers who promote patriotism with awards, recognizing local heroes by giving awards to local first responders with the Tallahassee Police Department, Leon County Sheriff Office, Tallahassee Firefighters and local EMT's, plus much, much more. Dedicated to our members, we are open 7 days a week and serve meals every evening.
